September STEM Event Theme: Responsibility
Scouts will learn to be responsible when dealing with chemical reactants. They need to wear goggles, gloves and learn to listen to instructions.
Hands on individual learning allows us to accomplish strong responsible in groups of 5 to 6. Cubs, by age/rank group, will be in patrols with Troop 35 or 53 mentors team collaboration. Cubs will rotate through each experiment by their age/rank group.
Team building and learning how a group can accomplish more than one individual will be stressed.
4 STEM trained leaders (Terry and Pat Gentile)+ 2 Certified science teachers (Kelly Robertson and Susie Flaherty) will lead the activities.
While you are there take a minute to say hello to our new Pack 161 STEM Coordinator, Paul Dickinson. He has been hard at work with the other Packs in town to create amazing STEM events throughout the year for our Scouts.
