All Cub Scout parents are welcome to attend the next Pack 161 Committee meeting, Thursday, May 12 at 7:30 pm in the Darien Public Library conference room just off the computer room on the lower level. This room is called the Powell Library, but is the same meeting room we've used in the past.
Voice your thoughts on future planning or find a volunteer opportunity that suits your talents. We are all incredibly grateful that our pack is thriving and that our Cub Scouts have fantastic parents helping out every step of the way.
Committee members include the parents listed below and you!
The Centennial Quality Unit was created to recognize units in achieving excellence in providing a quality program to a growing youth population in America at all levels of the Boy Scouts of America.
Please join us for the Pack 161 Fall Conservation Project on Tuesday, November 5, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Baker Park (off Noroton Avenue). We will help clean up Baker Park and we will also perform trail maintenance activities, including raking and removing debris, and remarking the trail. Baker Park is enjoyed by families watching soccer and baseball games and playing on the playground. Please wear long pants and bring gloves and gardening tools.
As you may know, completing a conservation would satisfy a rank requirement (e.g., for Webelos, it covers a requirement for Outdoorsman) or can be used for the Cub Scout World Conservation Award or Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award.
Any questions, please contact Susan Daly atsusan.y.daly@gmail.com. RSVP Is required. To RSVP, please register your scout and accompanying adult under the Fall Conservation Project listing in the right "Events" column of the home page. Siblings and friends are welcomed too - please note number in the notes column (i.e. "2 guests").
We hope you and your whole family can join us on the 5th!
