OCTOBER PACK NIGHT - PUMPKIN CARVING/JUDGING!

Posted on Oct 18 2015 - 10:45am

ATTENTION CREATIVE PACK 161 CUB SCOUTS!

Our October Pack Night is right around the corner, Thursday, October 22nd! It will be held at Tokeneke School from 6:30-7:30pm.

Our theme for Pack Night is Responsibility. One way to be responsible is to use resources wisely & share what you have.  This year, we'll have a Costume Exchange. Please BRING in any costumes you no longer need (for any age, size, gender) and please TAKE away any costumes you need.  Any costumes remaining at the end of the night will be donated to the Darien Thrift Shop.

Bring your decorated pumpkins to the meeting. Once again, we will have a pumpkin judging contest! Scouts will vote on the most creative themed pumpkin designs submitted by their peers.  They will also enjoy making a fun scarecrow craft.  We'll have prizes for each category.  Although Pack Night starts at 6:30pm, we'll ask for pumpkins to be dropped off between 5:45 - 6:15pm so we can get the judging tables set up.

Have your scout take a turn at the guessing jar. Winner gets to take home the prize - filled with candy corns! Don't forget to nominate your scout for Good Turn if he has been particularly helpful or considerate this month. Prize will be given to the best do-gooder.

See attached for the registration form. Please have this form completed when you come to drop off your scout's pumpkin to help expedite the process. Scouts are asked to pre-select a category when designing their pumpkins (please no candles or wet paint!). Categories are as follows:

SCARIEST

BEST PAINTED

FUNNIEST

MOST PATRIOTIC

BEST DRESSED

SCOUT THEME

BIGGEST GRIN
